Another Great Promo

Posted by BoB on Jul 19, 2010 in Advertising, Creativity

Well it’s that time of year again, time to rejoin our friend Don Draper and the cast of Mad Men. I for one think this is one of the best written shows of all time, but maybe that is just the ad man in me.
Last year to promote the debut, Mad Men rolled out “Mad Men Yourself”, which was great! This year AMC has gone the route of helping staff the newly formed Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce with a job interview. See for yourself here – http://www.amctv.com/originals/madmen/job-interview
Mad Men starts Sunday July 25th on AMC.

Best Campaign So Far

Posted by BoB on Jul 15, 2010 in Advertising, Creativity

There has been a lot of talk about the best ads of the year so far. Many believe the Wieden + Kennedy Old Spice ads are the best, especially with the recent social media responses, but I totally disagree, I would like to nominate the Sherwin-Williams “Paint Chips” campaign created by McKinney. With this campaign, McKinney is clearly focused on the brand, demonstrating the ability of Sherwin-Williams paint to match your world surroundings.

Very Humorous Website

Posted by BoB on Jul 14, 2010 in Creativity

A friend of mind posted a link to a blog article about a graphic designer making a poster for a lost cat, it is honestly one of the funniest things I have read in years. I found the original website that it came from and there are plenty more hilarious bits.
“Yeah that’s not what I was looking for”

New Miller Lite Ad Campaign

Posted by BoB on May 4, 2010 in Advertising, Creativity

I must say I am really enjoying the new ad campaign but together by Draftfcb for Miller Lite. So far there are only two in rotation, but there should be at least another three before it ends.

HD Music Video

Posted by BoB on Apr 26, 2010 in Creativity, Music

Had the opportunity to shoot and edit at music video for Higher Step Records’ artist Tremendous F*cking. The concept for the video, “Covered in Bruises”, was developed by director Mat Martin. The story is basically about a robot looking for a drink, but getting turned away at non-robot friendly bars only to stumble upon a secret gathering place that his kind are welcomed at.

Shot entirely in 1080p with the Canon 7D on location in Bloomington, IN. Used natural lighting and a camera-mounted Litepanel kit for the nighttime shots. Added only a small Lowel Rifa light as a secondary light in the ending bar scenes.
